Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Anne Fetter, 66, of Ipswich, is 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 20 6th Ave, in Ipswich. Fr. Randy Phillips will serve as Celebrant of the Mass.
Burial will be in the family cemetery near Radcliffe, IA on Monday.
A Liturgical Wake service and Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Holy Cross.
Visitation is 3-5:00 p.m. Thursday at Gramm Funeral Home, US Highway 12, in Ipswich and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorials are preferred to Edmunds County For A Cure, 35330 144th Street, Roscoe, SD 57471, a local support organization supporting those suffering from life threatening illnesses.
Pat was born March 25, 1944 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Odell and Alice (Van den Berghe) Hill. She married Larry Fetter on November 27, 1965 at St. Mary's Church, East Moline, IL.
Pat's life was very full. She worked as a critical care nurse for 12 years at St. Paul Ramsey in St. Paul, MN. She then worked in education and training in the medical device industry for 32 years and in 2008 moved to Ipswich, SD to enjoy retirement. Pat's educational accomplishments include an R.N. degree from St. Anthony's School of Nursing in Rock Island, IL and a B.S. degree in Organizational Management from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN.
She enjoyed a variety of hobbies in her free time including sudoku, gardening, card making, crochet and embroidery. She loved to golf, was an avid pheasant hunter and enjoyed watching sports - especially the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. She loved her family very much and enjoyed her many friends. She will be missed by all.
Patricia died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 44 years, Larry Fetter, Ipswich, SD; her best friend of 28 years, Joan Torrence, Ipswich, SD; 4 siblings and their spouses, Kathleen Roberson, Rolla, MO, Thomas (Gail) Hill, Bartlett, IL, Jerry (Joyce) Hill, East Moline, IL and Richard (Peggy) Hill, East Moline, IL; 3 brothers-in-law and their spouses, Terry (Maureen) Fetter, Peoria, AZ, Paul Fetter, Peoria, AZ, and Warren (Rosie) Fetter, Moline, IL; numerous nieces and nephews and her special niece, Aimee Horgan, South St. Paul, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Alice Hill and her loving mother-in-law, Maefern.
